Yeah, Sonic Youth doing Carpenters.
The song is in my head and I keep on humming it.
You should listen to it.
The song, not my head.
Sometimes I can’t help but think of the movie “Virgin Suicides” when I listen to it.
You should watch that movie, too.
Once on a February I was in Cosa Nostra near White Plains with Sir Pao and Oso. Oso looked pretty that night and Sir Pao spilled Red Horse on me. Sir Pao made sure that they played that theme song from Virgin Suicides that night for me.
It was his way of saying “Really sorry Ma’am for spilling beer on your khaki.”
Oso made sure that I drove home safely by following me and screaming at me through the cell phone, “Tang ina! Ang lapit mo sa gutter!”
It was his way of saying “I care for you.”
It would have been really funny if he called me “Ma’am” while screaming at me.
We all sometimes forget what “Ma’am” means.
